Shaman's Way - Where Dogs Find Peace

Shaman's Way comes from my dog. Shaman is the name of my dog and he is the reason behind the business. He is behind me in everything I do. He works with me in rehabilitating dogs. He brings calm and assertive energy. A Shaman is the person that knows everything, sees everything beyond. Guides everyone. As a qualified dog behaviourist in Maidenhead, I have a Canine Behaviour Training Diploma. My philosophy is always towards positive dog training, and helping owners and dogs reestablish their bond and friendship.

What is the difference between dog trainer and dog behaviourist?

The terms dog trainer and dog behaviourist are often used interchangeably, but they refer to different roles with distinct focuses, training methods, and areas of expertise.

A dog trainer primarily focuses on teaching a dog specific commands and obedience. The goal is to ensure that the dog can follow basic commands (e.g., sit, stay, come, heel) and perform certain behaviours when asked by the owner.

A behaviourist, on the other hand, focuses on the psychological aspects of a dog's behaviour. As a dog behaviourist in Maidenhead, my aim is to understand the root causes of problems, especially when these issues are more complex or rooted in fear, anxiety, trauma, or aggression.

My philosophy on positive dog training

Dog behaviourism very much focusses on the whole dog, and my approach emphasises this holistic and positive approach. This, coupled with positive reinforcement dog training, helps your dog to enjoy interacting and learning, and feel more confident and at ease overall. By understanding your dog on a deeper level, I aim to deal with aggression, anxiety, fear-based behaviours, destructive behaviour, or phobias in your dog, and help make them happier and more comfortable in all situations.
